Pondicherry Precinct: Where History Meets Modern Urban Design

By Charbel Abousleiman

#1 Place for Development in Sydney

The Perich family is set to transform 242 hectares of rural land in the South West Growth Area into a comprehensive urban development, creating a natural extension of the Oran Park project.

The Pondicherry Precinct, named after the historical farm, will accommodate 2,200 new homes and up to 8,830 residents.

A large bulk of the master-planned community will feature small lot housing, rear loaded attached dwellings with some apartment buildings surrounding the high amenity afforded by the Lake Precinct.

Community infrastructure:

  • 10 hectares of open space (5 hectares around the lake and 5 hectares of local parks)
  • 2 hectares of district sports facilities, including 4 playing fields
  • Community centre managed by Camden Council
  • 1,000 student public primary school
  • 2,000 student K-12 private school

All homes will be within 400 metres of a local park, creating a highly liveable environment.

Pondicherry will seamlessly integrate with existing Oran Park and future precincts like Lowes Creek Maryland and South Creek West.
