A 700-apartment mixed-use project is being advanced for a 20,860 sqm site at 205 – 225 Euston Road in Alexandria.
The existing multi-level office building on the site would be demolished and redeveloped into a mixed-use scheme combining apartment buildings above ground-floor retail.
The project is expected to deliver around 80,000 sqm of gross floor area, with an estimated cost of about $500 million.
The site is unusually expansive for inner-south Sydney, stretching across more than 2-hectare with direct rear interface to Sydney Park. Upper levels of any future development are likely to capture uninterrupted park outlooks across one of the largest green spaces in the inner city.
Euston Road has increasingly become a transition corridor where older commercial and industrial buildings are being consolidated for higher density residential projects between the Green Square renewal area and Alexandria’s employment lands.
