Rozelle Bay: Lendlease Moves to Rezone the Harbour’s Working Waterfront

#1 Place for Development in Sydney

Lendlease is planning a major mixed-use redevelopment of Rozelle Bay, the working waterfront between the Anzac Bridge and Glebe Island in Sydney’s inner west.

Lendlease’s plan would deliver up to 3,000 homes and a pedestrian underpass linking Rozelle Bay to the new Bays Metro Station. That’s more than a third of the 8,500 homes the NSW Government is planning across Bays West.

10% of the project must be affordable housing and at least 25% as open space.

Existing maritime tenants are planned to relocate as working harbour operations consolidate into White Bay.

The previous government announced plans for a government-led Rozelle Bay precinct in 2022. Lendlease’s proposal, which it brought to the government itself, advanced the second stage of assessment in April this year.

The site faces Bicentennial Park across the water, with views to White Bay Power Station and the Anzac Bridge.
